The event is located on and around the Koret Quad on the UCSF Mission Bay campus

HOW TO FIND US

Ride Transit

We encourage everyone to take mass transit, bike or walk to the UCSF Mission Bay Campus. Parking will be limited. Koret Quad in Mission Bay is accessible via Muni, BART, Caltrain, and ferry. MUNI: The T-Third Street line, 22 Fillmore, 15 Bayview Hunters Point Express, and 55 Dogpatch all serve the UCSF Mission Bay campus. BART: Take BART to the Powell Station and transfer to the Muni T-Third Street line. CALTRAIN: Take Caltrain to the 4th and King stop and transfer to the Muni T-Third Street line or walk about 15-20 minutes to Koret Quad. Or take Caltrain to the SF 22nd Street stop and walk about 15-20 minutes to Koret Quad. FERRY: Take the Ferry from Oakland/Alameda to Pier 48, then take BART/MUNI. Please note UCSF Shuttles do not run on the weekends.

Bike

There is bike parking on the UCSF Mission Bay Campus:

•  Genentech Hall (near Campus Way and Koret Quad)- bike racks 

•  Community Center Garage, 1625 Owens Street – bike enclosure and racks

•  3rd Street Garage – bike enclosure and 16 lockers

Walk

Koret Quad is close to public transportation. Walk time to Koret Quad from both San Francisco Caltrain Stations is 15-20 minutes. The Muni Metro T line stop is one block away.  UCSF Mission Bay is also serviced by the MUNI 22, 15 and 55 bus lines.

ROAD CLOSURE

4th Street will be closed between 16th Street and Nelson Rising Lane from 8AM to 6PM.

The Bay Area Science Festival will manage all in-person events with the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, hosts, exhibitors, and guests in mind. In response to COVID-19, we will be implementing public health requirements for all event hosts and attendees in accordance with local and state guidelines in order to celebrate science safely throughout the Bay Area. 

The Bay Area Science Festival encourages you to get vaccinated, wear a mask and practice social distancing. Be sure to check back for updated and more detailed COVID safety information prior to attending.
