Join us for an overview of Recology! Learn about our history, current programs, and what happens to the items placed in your curbside bins. While our facility is closed to the public, we still want to provide our community with the resources to continue recycling and composting properly and support individuals in making choices that protect and preserve our fragile planet.

During this webinar, you will learn about the history of Recology, the innovative programs we have put in place with the city of San Francisco, how Recology is improving the sorting process for recycling while maintaining a focus on reducing and reusing, and what individual actions you can take to create an impactful change.

Event Hosts

Recology: A World Without Waste The Recology mission represents a fundamental shift from traditional waste management to resource recovery. We seek to eliminate waste by developing and discovering sustainable resource recovery practices that can be implemented globally.

COVID Safety

The Bay Area Science Festival will manage all in-person events with the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, hosts, exhibitors, and guests in mind. In response to COVID-19, we will be implementing public health requirements for all event hosts and attendees in accordance with local and state guidelines in order to celebrate science safely throughout the Bay Area.

The Bay Area Science Festival encourages you to get vaccinated, wear a mask and practice social distancing. Be sure to check back for updated and more detailed COVID safety information prior to attending.
