Introduction to PyGame Game Development

Learn from TeenTechSF and get a fun intro to video game design with PyGame! In this beginner friendly workshop, we will learn about the basics of programming and coding in Python, variables, conditionals, loops, and more. You will use trinket.io, python, and PyGame in order to create a cool snow animation. Don’t just be a video game player, get started learning how to be a video game designer!

Event Hosts

TeenTechSF’s mission is to empower the next generation of tech innovators and civic entrepreneurs by providing equal access to tech for all teens. Since launching, TeenTechSF has connected 3000+ teens in the Bay Area and around the world to tech leaders and civic entrepreneurs from Apple to Zynga, through teen-run tech conferences, civic hackathons, and STEM workshop activities.

The Bay Area Science Festival will manage all in-person events with the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, hosts, exhibitors, and guests in mind. In response to COVID-19, we will be implementing public health requirements for all event hosts and attendees in accordance with local and state guidelines in order to celebrate science safely throughout the Bay Area. 

The Bay Area Science Festival encourages you to get vaccinated, wear a mask and practice social distancing. Be sure to check back for updated and more detailed COVID safety information prior to attending.
