This event is completely FREE and open to the public! No registration or tickets required. Come on down and join us, rain or shine, for a day filled with 100+ hands-on activities, stage performances and more! Great for all ages, pre-K to gray!

Bring your water bottle – we will have water refill stations on site

Food Options

Food trucks and restaurants onsite or you can bring your own food

Prohibited Items

NO illegal items, including weapons, drones, fireworks

NO illegal drugs

NO smoking or vaping

NO alcoholic beverages

NO pets

Accessibility

There are two UCSF parking lots adjacent to the Festival that have ADA parking spaces and a reduced rate of $7/day with a valid DMV-issued disabled placard.

Wheelchairs are not provided. The BASF is less than 0.2 miles from parking lots along paved sidewalks and pathways.

Most BASF exhibits are located along a paved pathway or indoors and are wheelchair accessible. Some exhibits are located on grass, which can be accessed via the paved walkway that runs the perimeter of Koret Quad.

ADA compliant portable restrooms are available as well as restrooms inside the Mission Bay Conference Center.

This event be a well-attended event with families and children along with 100+ exhibitors. Expect louder volumes and prepare headphones or support as necessary.

COVID Safety

The Bay Area Science Festival will manage all in-person events with the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, hosts, exhibitors, and guests in mind. In response to COVID-19, we will be implementing public health requirements for all event hosts and attendees in accordance with local and state guidelines in order to celebrate science safely throughout the Bay Area. 

The Bay Area Science Festival encourages you to get vaccinated, wear a mask and practice social distancing. Be sure to check back for updated and more detailed COVID safety information prior to attending.
